Episode 3 of ‘Musical Vibrations for Home Hibernations’. An ancient DRN track called ‘Halfway Round The World’ requested by our good friend David Ungar. This is for you, brother, and for all those who are currently separated from their loved ones by the global shutdown. This song was written in 1987 before I had ever crossed an ocean. The irony is I now have a family on the other side of the planet from our hometown of Portland, Oregon 🙂
Wishing everyone strength and insight from this challenging days!
Dan Mentioned that particular irony to Pom, several years ago... In a similar vein; in my heart, I always felt, that I would meet & marry an Italian woman... didn’t realise it would take me until my late 30’s or that I’d actually start corresponding with her; while away on Peace Keeping duty, in Kosovo!

Thank you for all the love and positive thoughts about the last musical video of ‘Let it Go’ posted on Saturday 🙂 I’ve decided to post a new vid every couple days or so in light of the world hibernating for good reason and bring some live performances to you. I had a request for my song ‘Candlelight’ so here it is. Coming up in a couple days fulfilling the requests for the DRN track ‘Halfway Round the World’ and a solo track ‘Indestructible’ after that. Will try to continue on this path until the lockdown is over, so requests are most welcome and wishing everyone a healing time at home with your loved ones or in solitude ❤
The fun of singing the high harmonies with you. Much like when I saw/met you in Charlotte several years back. I will never forget getting to talk with you, giving you a set of the trading cards that introduced me to your music, and getting to sing the harmonies to Rainbow Child backstage after the show. One of the TRULY special days in my life, Dan. Thank you, and much love to you, brother.

I love it so much!! Beautiful as always. How do you sing what I feel? Awesome. Thank you so much for being a part of my life from that night in San Diego when I seen this band open for UB40 and was lifted so high that I still have not hit the earth. Thanks again. Stay safe please.💞💞🤙

Good afternoon from Prague! Last week I received a message that our song ‘Let it Go’ was good therapy for someone dealing with stress during this worldwide hibernation so I’ve recorded an acoustic version for anyone wishing to zone out on a song about turning pain in to positivity through communing with our loved ones ❤
Dan Reed Thank you Dan, what a beautiful version from a beautiful soul! You always seem to know exactly what people need to fill their soul with hope. Your post was the first thing that popped up on FB page this morning and was exactly what I needed to hear, as I lost my Uncle yesterday (not from the virus) and was feeling quite down. You are truly a GIFT to the world! You touch so many of our lives in ways you may never know. Many prayers and wishes that you and your family stay safe and healthy through all of this and again, thank you for being the beautiful soul that you are!

A fascinating Netflix film exploring the life and mind of the great jazz innovator Miles Davis. A tortured soul who fashioned healing musical landscapes, and introduced countless young artists who would help shape the world of every artistic genre. Miles was constantly reinventing his music in between intense bouts of personal struggles. A marvel of a story embracing the dark and the light.

Rescheduled dates for our UK ‘Hurricane Riders’ Album Release Tour is now announced below! Again our deepest gratitude for everyone understanding the need to move the performances this month and all your beautifully supportive messages and posts these last few days. We are very much looking forward picking up where we left off and seeing everyone end of the year 🙂 The only show we couldn’t get back online was the Bristol date due to venues not being available. So all Bristol tickets will be refunded and if you wish to attend the other two dates that aren’t too far away you will have to book tickets for those events separately after you’re refunded. Our apologies for this inconvenience.
Most of the new ticket links for the other dates are up now on danreed.com and the remaining links will be up Monday evening. Thank you to Martin Jarvis, Graeme Purdy Bell and Janne Skip Sandin for pulling off a small miracle organizing these replacement dates, and getting the new artwork and webwork done with the quickness!
To all an inspiring and safe weekend out there 🙂

Tour Reschedule Statement from Snake Oil and Harmony.
We regret to inform everyone that due to the recent upgrading of governmental, travel and business restrictions we have decided to reschedule the Album Release Tour. To continue with our tour was on one hand a positive, to keep some form of normality during these stressful times and exactly why we have been adamant about not changing things these last two weeks. Yet on the other hand it would be selfish and irresponsible to make people have to make the decision to attend or not. Many of our supporters have elderly parents and we simply don't want to put the option on the table to attend at this time when we can easily reschedule for another time period later in the year when the tension of this issue has dissipated. It was an incredibly difficult decision to make today as we feel it's exactly times like these we need a release for the stress of the times. Unfortunately it seems the rest of the world is currently not on the same page. We believe it is better to err on the side of what's pragmatic, and not on the side of risk. News on the rescheduled dates will be forthcoming within the next week, and our apologies for any inconvenience this has caused both the venues and those who support our music.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
